About About

To facilitate the development of a climate strategy and the necessary implementation framework, a Platform has been established. This Platform consists of organizations from diverse sectors, including the public and private sectors, financial institutions, academia, and NGOs. Its primary goal is to actualize the policy preparation process and implement the described execution program. The Platform will conduct regular consultative meetings and working sessions, ensuring the representation of all stakeholders. This approach provides a platform for various societal sectors to brainstorm and reach a consensus on climate risks and the recommended mitigation and adaptation strategies.

The Platform comprises of four entities:

1.      the panel, as the highest authority, is responsible for approving all work plans, reports, and relevant documents of the platform

2.      the board, oversees the day-to-day management of the Platform's operations and is accountable to the panel for coordinating plans and financial expenditures, as approved by the panel

3.      the technical committees (TCs), conduct research and provide advice to the panel and the board within the platform's objectives, and

4.      the secretariat, manages and coordinates the activities and meetings of all entities and reports to the government on the platform's activities.

In summary, the overall coordination of the roadmap's implementation is entrusted to the Platform, which is answerable to the government for executing the roadmap's activities. National aspirations have been collaboratively formulated with all stakeholders, shaping a vision and mission that are elaborated in a climate roadmap with associated priorities or focus areas. On a broader scale, adaptation and mitigation scenarios are developed and assessed by the Technical Committees and Advisory Groups of the Platform, and subsequently integrated into an assessment report. These reports are then presented to policymakers and political leaders to translate recommendations into tangible policies, laws, and regulations.
